Is WiFi sufficient?
The app is designed to work in offline mode so no connectivity is needed for a technician to use the app in the field. However, with invoicing and dispatching, communication will happen in real time, therefore, the technicians will need to have access to the Internet. If the device is WiFi only then the techncian will need to connect to some other device to get to the internet.

WiFi Options:
1. Turn the cell phone into a mobile hot spot. Then the iPad/tablet can connect through the phone to get to the internet.
2. Purchase a mobile hot spot. Then the iPad/tablet can connect through the mobile hotspot to get to the internet.

The alternative is to purchase an iPad/tablet with a mobile data plan. This will give the device 3G or 4G access to the internet with WiFi as a backup.

Installation tips
If installing multiple devices at a single location, install one completely before installing the second one.

If I work in a rural area or in an area with poor cell service, will the system still work?
Yes. The system was designed to work in offline or airplane mode. All of the data and information is stored locally on the device so all functionality, including videos, brochures, diagnostic will work without an internet connection.

Regarding invoicing, the system will still work without an Internet connection. You will be able to create an invoice and the information will synchronize back to the server once an Internet connection is restored.
