Tuesday Tool Tip – Service Agreement Auto-Renewal Setting

Service Agreement Setting

Service Agreement Auto-Renewal Price Setting

There is a subtle setting is how to price a service agreement when it is auto-renewed.

P3 has a setting to either use the “Current Price” or the “Original Price”.

Let’s walk through an example. Let’s say the customer paid $190 for a service agreement in 2021 and it was on auto-renew. Then, in 2022, the price of the service agreement was increased to $200.

If your company is using “Current Price”, then when the service agreement auto-renews the customer will be charged $200.

If your company is using “Original Price”, then when the service agreement auto-renews the customer will be charged $190.

The setting can be found here:

  • From the Command Center, click on Settings
  • Go to the Service Agreement section
  • Click on General Settings
  • The setting name is called “Service Agreement Auto-Renewal Pricing”

Our recommendation is to make sure that whatever you decide, to update the terms and conditions accordingly so the customer understands what to expect.
